Car Drives into Crowd in California, Sparking Chaos

Over the weekend, a troubling incident unfolded in San Bernardino County, California, where a car crashed into a group of people gathered outside a bar. This shocking event led to a shootout, with onlookers rushing for safety.

The Redlands Police Department reported on Monday that four individuals were taken to the hospital after what is believed to be an attempted vehicular homicide that occurred early Sunday morning.

The trouble reportedly started just before 1:30 a.m. following an argument involving several people outside a popular spot called The Underground. One participant in the altercation drove off in a 2022 Tesla but returned shortly after and hit four people standing on the street in front of the bar, according to authorities.

Somehow, the driver lost control and struck a curb but managed to speed away, leaving a trail of leaking fluid behind.

After the car incident, an unidentified individual brandished a gun and fired multiple shots, resulting in damaged store windows nearby, according to police reports. Fortunately, authorities confirmed that no one was shot during this chaotic event.

While the four victims from the hit-and-run sustained serious injuries, they were promptly transported to a local hospital for medical care. At this point, no arrests have been made related to the incident.

Bruno, the owner of a business affected by the shooting, mentioned that similar disturbances have happened in the vicinity before. The downtown Redlands area, as some describe it, has a reputation for frequent altercations—sometimes considered a fallback for patrons who have been ejected from other bars.
