Reza Pahlavi on Recent US Attack and Iranian Regime Change
Reza Pahlavi, the exiled crown prince of Iran, expressed that the recent US strike against the Islamic Republic signifies “the very beginning of the end of the regime.” He believes it’s now time for Iranians to reclaim their homeland.
“This is undoubtedly the game-changer we’ve been anticipating. The excitement among Iranians at home and abroad highlights how long they’ve awaited this moment,” he stated in an interview.
Pahlavi conveyed his feelings of joy about the potential downfall of the regime, suggesting that its destruction is finally on the horizon. He emphasized that this situation would create an opportunity for the Iranian people to take to the streets and regain their country from a regime they view as oppressive.
He pointed out that the current developments go beyond previous efforts that aimed at limiting Iran’s nuclear ambitions. This time, it feels like a substantial blow to the regime itself.
“It’s almost as if we are witnessing a decisive blow to the regime, which could lead to its ultimate downfall. The suffering endured by the Iranian people has been too significant to settle for anything less,” he stated.
Amid the shifting political landscape, Pahlavi envisions a transition from a theocratic rule to a democratic governance. He mentioned that he’s prepared to lead this transition with a coalition that includes both those within Iran and members of the military.
He anticipates that this transition phase “should not take more than a few years.” Pahlavi added that he has collaborated with many Iranians from various backgrounds, all united for this cause. This coalition, he believes, represents a diverse array of people from different regions and societal sectors, including religious and ethnic minorities, all committed to this national effort.
