Nicole Kidman Reflects on Family Life After Divorce

Natalie Kidman has taken some time to reflect on her family situation three months following her divorce from Keith Urban.

At 58, she has several major projects in the pipeline, looking forward to what could be another remarkable year—despite planning a break in 2025. She expressed, “I was quiet. There were other things going on. I was stuck in my shell.”

As for the future, she’s gearing up for some exciting opportunities, including a sequel to the beloved film “Practical Magic,” where she’ll return as Gillian Owens alongside Sandra Bullock. Kidman remarked, “Now I’m in a position where I say, ‘2026, let’s go.’ You’ll be in full witch mode.”

This summer promises to be busy for Kidman, who is also filming “Scarpetta,” where she plays a medical examiner, and working on Season 3 of Taylor Sheridan’s “Lioness.”

When asked about her emotional state since the split from the country music star, she affirmed that she’s okay, focusing on moving forward. “I am always moving in a positive direction,” she said. “What I’m grateful for is my family and letting them be and moving on. That’s all.”

“What I’m grateful for is my family and letting them be and moving on. That’s all.”

Kidman has expressed a desire to keep her family matters private, maintaining that “we are family” is a core understanding for her and her daughters. “Out of respect, I won’t talk about anything else,” she added. “My beautiful daughters, my love, they suddenly became women.”

She officially announced her divorce from Urban in January after nearly two decades of marriage, highlighting the importance of family even amid personal upheaval.

“Out of respect, I won’t talk about anything else. I remain in the position that ‘we are family’ and that will continue to be us. My beautiful daughters, my beloved ones, they suddenly became women.”

The divorce settlement named Kidman as the primary guardian of their two daughters, with Urban having scheduled “parenting time” every other weekend. Notably, neither party will receive alimony, and child support is set at zero. Kidman filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences back in September.
