Medical Emergency During Trump’s Speech
During President Donald Trump’s speech in Hebron, Kentucky, a woman collapsed, prompting Dr. Mehmet Oz to swiftly assist her.
About halfway through the event at Vaast Logistics, an elderly woman positioned behind the president seemed to require immediate medical assistance. Trump, noticing the situation, called out to the audience, “Do we have a doctor? Please take your time.”
A medical team, featuring Dr. Oz, the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, quickly approached to provide aid.
“First responders are amazing,” Trump commented while observing the emergency workers tend to the woman.
As the president paused his speech, he suggested maybe playing a song to fill the gap. “Do you think the people behind the scenes can hear me?” he pondered aloud before proposing “Ave Maria.”
Ultimately, no music played, and he continued observing the care being provided.
“Slow down,” Trump advised as first responders helped escort the woman away. He spotted Dr. Oz among those aiding her and enthusiastically exclaimed, “Dr. Oz! Can you believe it? Dr. Oz! He’s a good doctor. Thank you, Oz.”
After approximately seven minutes, Trump resumed his speech, quickly shifting back to his criticism of California Governor Gavin Newsom, humorously remarking, “We were talking about Gavin Nukes. That doesn’t seem like a very good topic to talk about right now. That young woman wasn’t in a very good mood.”
This incident isn’t the first time Dr. Oz has stepped in during a medical emergency related to the Trump administration. In April, he came to the aid of a young girl who fainted in the Oval Office during a Trump speech. He also assisted when a man collapsed during a press conference in November.
