Trump Interviews with Jake Paul
Former President Donald Trump participated in a roughly 30-minute interview with influencer Jake Paul, which was shared on the YouTuber’s channels on Friday. The conversation occurred during Trump’s visit to Kentucky, coinciding with a campaign rally held on Wednesday.
They touched on various subjects, including sports and political topics. One particularly intense moment referenced an assassination attempt against Trump during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, 2024. Paul asked Trump, “Were your ears hot? Did you feel the bullet?”
Trump recounted his experience, explaining, “I felt a thumping feeling. I knew something was up. It was a bloody mess. I said, ‘Why are you bleeding so much?’ And my ear bled even more. The ear has a lot to do with cartilage, so it bleeds a lot. I didn’t want to dwell on it, but it was really bad. When I checked, I raised my hand…and when I looked, it was piled up. I thought, ‘This is either the biggest mosquito bite ever, or I got shot.’ Not a pleasant experience.”
Paul expressed admiration for Trump’s administration’s actions against Iran, saying, “I admire your courage, and I think a lot of Iranians do too… I was shocked that so many activists in America oppose it. But they’re also saying they support women’s rights. Here you are, liberating women in Iran, and they have a problem with it. That’s confusing.”
In response, Trump noted, “We stand with gays, but they throw gays off buildings.”
The conversation also delved into more personal topics. Paul asked Trump who he would choose to be if he could select anyone from history. Trump replied, “That’s a very interesting question. Probably Donald Trump… I think it’s Donald Trump right now. My life is very exciting. I have to be honest. Other lives seem interesting, but I think maybe mine is more exciting. I’ve had a great time.”
During the interview, Paul mentioned he might consider running for office in the future, a suggestion Trump seemed to support. The former president had previously endorsed Paul at a rally.
Additionally, Trump had an in-depth discussion with Jake Paul’s older brother, Logan Paul, on his podcast, Impaulsive, back in June 2024.
