UFC’s Dana White Announces Free Tickets for Freedom 250 Event
UFC manager Dana White has shared his plan to offer 85,000 complimentary tickets to fans attending the Freedom 250 fight event at the White House in June.
In a recent announcement video from the UFC, White outlined how the venue will be set up at the White House for this event.
“I think a lot of UFC fans might not have visited D.C. before, but it’s really a fantastic city with various events happening that week,” he said about the June 14 gathering.
“When you look at the White House layout—there’s the house itself, the South Lawn, the road, and the Ellipse, which is a park. We’ll be giving away tickets to 85,000 people at the Ellipse. These tickets are free, and we’ll soon share details on how they’ll be distributed. Just make sure you’re able to get to Washington, D.C. for this event. There’ll be plenty of activities at The Ellipse,” White added.
“There’ll be music and a band, plus you can relax in the park while watching the fight on a screen. You’ll actually see the entire setup—all right there. It’s going to be a really unique and exciting experience for fight enthusiasts,” he remarked.
“As I always say, this is one of a kind. If you haven’t experienced Washington, D.C., it’s a vibrant city with so much to offer,” he concluded.
White has also announced the fighters competing in the Freedom 250.
According to reports, the top contenders will be lightweight champion Ilya Topria and interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje during the event set for Sunday, June 14, on the White House grounds.
The co-main events will feature Alex Pereira and Cyril Gane vying for the interim heavyweight title.
Other matches lined up include Sean O’Malley against Ayeman Zahavi, Mauricio Luffy versus Michael Chandler, Bo Nickal against Kyle Daukaus, and Diego Lopez versus Steve Garcia.
White has purposefully arranged the card to include American fighters in all matchups, except for Pereira versus Gane.
