Bert Kreischer Grateful After Tour Bus Fire
Bert Kreischer was counting his lucky stars after a close call during his Midwest tour. The comedian expressed gratitude on Sunday for his safety following a fire that engulfed his tour bus the night before.
At 53 years old, Kreischer took to social media to assure fans that everyone involved was unharmed, remarking that “God works in mysterious ways.”
While sharing a series of pictures showing the bus’s charred remains, Kreischer explained the situation to his audience, stating, “Okay, here’s what you need to know about the bus.” The incident began just an hour after departing from Fargo, North Dakota, when the bus’s front right tire went flat and detached completely from the rim.
“God works in mysterious ways.”
Kreischer mentioned that two bus drivers, with decades of experience, had never witnessed anything like this in their careers. After waiting for several hours, they abandoned the bus and took a different vehicle to Cedar Rapids, where, unfortunately, the bus caught fire on the road that same morning.
“Everyone is safe. Our bus driver, Dewey, departed on time. He explained there was literally a fire, and in just 15 seconds, the front cabin was completely ablaze,” Kreischer added.
“Both bus drivers said they had never seen anything like this in 35 years.”
Amidst the chaos, Kreischer highlighted a silver lining: “If we had slept on that bus, we would have all been stuck in the back and might not have made it.” He emphasized that despite the frustrations, everything can be viewed as a blessing and reiterated his belief that God works in mysterious ways.
Although no one was injured, Kreischer and his team lost all their belongings in the fire and had to purchase new clothes.
