President Donald Trump reiterated his criticism of CBS News’ “60 Minutes” host, Norah O’Donnell, particularly after she brought up his manifesto related to the incident at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner. He described her as “terrible,” suggesting that anyone could do as well as her in that role.
During an interview, Trump was asked whether he would consider walking out like he had in 2020. He dismissed that notion, while commentator Hugh Hewitt suggested O’Donnell’s questions seemed intended to provoke him.
Recently, Trump called out O’Donnell for reading from a manifesto that mentioned concerns about rapists and pedophiles, saying, “Well, I was waiting for you to read it because I knew you would.” He firmly asserted, “I’m not a rapist. I haven’t raped anyone.” When O’Donnell inquired if the shooter was talking about him, Trump responded defensively, denying any association.
Trump emphasized he had nothing to do with the allegations and drew a contrast with others linked to figures like Epstein, stating, “I’m totally acquitted.” O’Donnell insisted she was quoting the shooter, but Trump continued to label her as a “disgrace.”
In response to these exchanges, CBS News backed O’Donnell’s line of questioning, asserting that it is essential for journalists to question the president about new evidence, especially given the gravity of threats against the President.
