MS NOW Announces Major Programming Changes
MS NOW has decided to shorten “Morning Joe” to three hours, following its separation from NBC approximately six months ago, as reported by Mediaite.
According to the co-hosts, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, the change was prompted by the challenges of managing a four-hour show. The revised schedule will see the show air from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET. Following this, Stephanie Ruhle will take over the 9 a.m. slot, stepping in for Ana Cabrera, who is departing from the network.
Ana Cabrera expressed her gratitude in a recent video, thanking her colleagues and the viewers for their support during her tenure. “I’m not leaving any time soon,” she noted, adding that she looks forward to sharing her future plans soon.
Additionally, host Chris Jansing will be leaving her position, with Alicia Menendez moving into the role. Luke Russert will step in as Menendez’s co-host. Meanwhile, “All In,” hosted by Chris Hayes, is set to return to a five-night-a-week schedule.
In related news, Comcast has announced plans to spin off MS NOW, previously known as MSNBC, in November 2024. This change also includes the separation from other networks like CNBC, USA, Oxygen, and SyFy.
Furthermore, in February 2025, MSNBC indicated that Joy Reid and Alex Wagner’s show would be concluded, with Jen Psaki taking over the 9 p.m. slot from Tuesday through Friday.
