Report: Texas Democrat Seeking Congressional Seat Allegedly Appeared as a Public Masturbator in Music Video

Bobby Pulido’s Controversial Music Video and Political Campaign

Bobby Pulido, a Latin Grammy-winning artist running against Republican Congresswoman Monica de la Cruz in Texas, has surfaced in a music video where he engages in explicit acts. In the 2010 video “Díaz de Ayer,” he portrays several roles, including one character involved in inappropriate behavior. Reportedly, he frequently masturbates while covered in a red blanket and exposes himself to a woman on what appears to be a private jet.

The video allegedly depicts him as a gay character, stirring up discussions in the Mexican media about his sexual orientation shortly after its release. “These days, people are more open-minded,” Pulido mentioned in a 2010 interview, reflecting on how perceptions of the LGBTQ+ community have shifted since the start of his career. Initially, there were rumors about his sexuality, which he sought to clarify.

The media sparked speculation, to which Pulido responded, “I can swear on the Bible that it’s not true.” In a later interview, he relayed an incident from 2017 when a male journalist made unwanted sexual advances toward him.

Since the music video’s debut, Pulido has made various derogatory remarks about gay men. In a post, he expressed, “1. I don’t like people like that. 2. You shouldn’t have children. 3. Stop being such disgusting people.”

Pulido also responded dismissively to a comment expressing affection for him, saying, “Same here, buddy, there are no homos.” His statements indicate some dissonance between his past appearances and current political aspirations.

Recently, Pulido won the Democratic primary with close to $1 million in backing from a PAC linked to the Blue Dog Coalition, a centrist Democratic group. However, a poll from The New York Times suggests he has slipped three percentage points behind De La Cruz since September.
