Incident Involving “Bachelorette” Star Taylor Frankie Paul
A recently surfaced video seems to depict Taylor Frankie Paul, a star from “Bachelorette,” engaged in a violent confrontation with her ex-girlfriend, Dakota Mortensen.
In the aftermath of a 2023 incident, Paul pleaded guilty to aggravated assault.
The video, shared by TMZ, captures Mortensen attempting to document the event, with Paul persistently attacking her and even hurling a metal bar stool in her direction.
Paul can be seen lunging at Mortensen multiple times and making attempts to kick her. At one point, she shouted, “Your daughter is sitting there!” while tossing the stool. Notably, a child, reportedly Mortensen’s, was seated nearby on a couch, and began crying during the altercation.
According to police reports, the young girl—5 years old—sustained a “goose egg to the head.”
A neighbor nearby, alarmed by the noise, contacted authorities, prompting them to respond to the incident that unfolded in 2023.
During the confrontation, Paul accused Mortensen of having “thrown” her, while Mortensen allegedly informed the police that Paul had pushed her to the ground prior to recording their exchange.
The authorities reviewed the footage, which prosecutors later incorporated into the case against Paul.
Paul, recognized for her role in “The Secret Life of Mormons,” received a sentence of three years’ probation until August 2026. Reports indicate that four additional charges related to domestic violence, child abuse, and criminal mischief were dismissed in exchange for her plea deal.
The Utah Department of Children and Family Services has initiated an investigation, with both Paul and Mortensen being required to undergo psychiatric evaluations.
In response to the situation, Paul’s representatives countered Mortensen’s claims. They stated, “It’s disheartening to witness his ongoing, desperate attempts to harm Taylor without considering the impact on his children. Releasing selectively edited videos on his son’s birthday is a shameful effort to divert attention from his actions.”
Furthermore, production on “Mormon Wives” has been suspended due to the controversy surrounding Paul.
