Reports have emerged regarding the wife of New York City’s Democratic Socialist Mayor, Zoran Mamdani, and her past social media posts allegedly extolling terrorists during her time in the Middle East. The washington free beacon disclosed this information on Wednesday after investigating the matter.
The article highlights a post attributed to 28-year-old Rama Duwaji, which features an image of Leila Khalid, a member of the terrorist group Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), and is noted for being the first woman to hijack an aircraft. The outlet described Khalid as “revered by terrorists and their allies.”
Interestingly, Duwaji has come under scrutiny for using a racial slur in a post from when she was just 15 years old, with screenshots of the post circulating online.
The free beacon was able to link Duwaji to this account in several ways. Notably, her name was mentioned, and another user tagged her with her picture. The report also states that publicly available facial recognition tech confirmed her identity, along with personal details like her birth date and her cat’s name.
In a related story, Breitbart News reported that Duwaji recently faced backlash for “liking” posts that seemed to support the violent attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023, prompting her husband to come to her defense.
He stated, “My wife is the love of my life, and I am also a private citizen who has never held an official position on my campaign or at City Hall. But I have been elected to represent all 8.5 million people in this city, and I believe it is my responsibility to answer all questions about my ideas, my policies, and my positions.”
