Report reveals Mamdani's extreme spouse praised terrorism in social media posts

Investigation into Ruma Dwaj’s Social Media Posts

According to reports, an inquiry has emerged focusing on past social media accounts thought to be associated with Ruma Dwaj, the wife of New York City’s Democratic Mayor Zoran Mamdani. The investigation revealed posts that appear to celebrate Palestinian terrorists and Islamic martyrdom.

For instance, Dwaj, whose parents are Syrian immigrants, posted a photo of Palestinian terrorist Leila Khaled on September 23, 2017. The caption read, “I’m willing to accept death if it helps my cause.”

“American soldiers fighting in imperialist wars are not brave,” another statement attributed to her remarks.

Khaled, known for her involvement with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, which is classified as a terrorist organization by the U.S., has stated that “October 7th was absolutely necessary.” She was involved in plane hijackings in 1969 and 1970.

On March 8, 2015, Dwaj reportedly praised Shadia Abu Ghazaleh, a PFLP militant known for a bombing that targeted an Israeli bus, which resulted in his self-detonation in 1968.

In a post shared in July 2015, Dwaj commented, “American soldiers are not fighting for freedom. They are fighting to maintain American hegemony by brutally slaughtering Third World civilians.”

Interestingly, when Snapchat included Tel Aviv in its “Live Stories” feature, Dwaj retweeted discontent towards the platform, stating, “Disappointed with @Snapchat. Damn #TelAviv. It shouldn’t exist in the first place. They’re occupiers. You celebrate them.”

Since these revelations surfaced, Dwaj’s previous account seems to have been deactivated.

As for Mayor Mamdani’s office, there has been no response from New York City Hall regarding this issue.

On Wednesday, CNN commentator Scott Jennings and Republican Dalia Al-Aqidi discussed the stark contrast in media treatment of Dwaj compared to the scrutiny faced by the spouse of another public figure.

Jennings recalled, “Remember when the national media tried to impeach Justice Alito because his wife hung a George Washington flag on her front door?”

While the liberal media appears reluctant to hold Mamdani accountable for his wife’s views, they have made efforts to cast suspicion on Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito due to alleged radicalism linked to his spouse.

In light of a controversy fueled by Obama’s chaplain Jodi Cantor in May 2024, it raised eyebrows when a flag was allegedly displayed in Justice Alito’s home, suggesting it could affect his judicial objectivity.

However, Judge Alito clarified that the flag was raised in response to disturbing incidents involving a neighbor.

“The mayor is weaponizing the mainstream media,” Al-Aqidi asserted, criticizing the protective narrative surrounding Dwaj when compared to other public figures.
