Several individuals were reportedly injured when a floor at a wedding venue in New Hampshire collapsed on Saturday.
The New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office confirmed they were dispatched to a location in Chocorua, Tamworth, to investigate the incident.
The local police stated that multiple fire departments responded to the scene, leading to temporary road closures to the venue.
Officials indicated that there were multiple injuries, but details about the total number were not available as of Saturday night. A spokesperson from a hospital in Maine mentioned that three patients were transported there by ambulance, while others were taken to different facilities.
The exact cause of the collapse remains unclear, and various agencies, including the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and the Tamworth Fire Department, have not yet provided further information.
A catering company associated with the venue expressed their distress regarding the situation, stating they were deeply saddened by the news of the collapse and its impact on those present.
