Savannah Guthrie shares with Hoda Kotb in her first interview after her mother's disappearance

In her first interview following her mother Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie expressed her family’s anguish. Savannah has turned to social media to plead for information, but this conversation with Hoda Kotb is her first formal discussion since her mother went missing on February 1st.

During a heartfelt exchange with Kotb, Savannah revealed the torment she feels at night, imagining what her mother may be experiencing.

“To think of what she went through. I wake up every night in the dark and envision her terror. It’s unimaginable, yet those thoughts refuse to fade. I won’t hide my face. She has to come home,” Savannah told Kotb.

The complete interview will air in two parts on “Today” on March 26th and 27th. Nancy has been missing for over 50 days, with minimal progress from authorities, who continue to encounter frustrating dead ends.

At 84, Nancy was forcibly taken from her home in Tucson, Arizona, in the early hours of February 1st. Footage recovered by the FBI from her doorbell camera shows a masked individual tampering with it around the time she was reported missing.

This suspect is described as being between 5 feet, 9 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall, of average build, carrying a black Ozark Trail backpack, and appearing armed.

Additionally, at 2:28 AM, her pacemaker app disconnected from her phone, which helps investigators piece together the timeline of her abduction.

According to an NBC source, Savannah wishes to return to “Today,” but is uncertain about when that might happen. Still, she remains hopeful.

“I want you to know I’m still standing, still hopeful, and still myself, although I don’t know what version of myself that will be. I’m holding onto my faith,” she stated.

The Guthrie family is offering a $1 million reward for Nancy’s safe return, while the FBI has offered a $100,000 reward and encourages anyone with information to contact 1-800-CALL-FBI.
