Alec Bohm Sues Parents Over Alleged Misuse of His Money

Philadelphia Phillies Player Sues Parents

Alec Bohm, the third baseman for the Philadelphia Phillies, has reportedly initiated a lawsuit against his parents seeking millions in damages.

Bohm allegedly transferred a significant sum of money into an account overseen for a 29-year-old individual, utilizing some of those funds for personal expenses. This was first reported by Nick Badala from the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The lawsuit, filed on Wednesday in Philadelphia, states that Bohm started examining his financial and personal circumstances recently. However, his parents reportedly denied him access to the accounts and the information he was trying to obtain.

It’s claimed that they sought to “freeze” him from accessing four different accounts that were established as limited liability companies (LLCs). According to the legal documents, Bohm’s parents are believed to have misappropriated a considerable amount of money from these LLCs for their own benefit.

In pursuing financial transparency, Bohm discovered that his parents had already transferred millions from his personal account into theirs.

Daniel and Lisa Bohm, Alec’s parents, have denied any accusations of wrongdoing. Their attorney expressed that they were “deeply saddened by the allegations” and intend to defend themselves vigorously. Robert Eckardt, the attorney, stated that Bohm had full access to his financial accounts and mentioned that the parents had utilized their credit cards to cover expenses related to their son.

“Mr. and Mrs. Bohm love their son very much and have always acted, and continue to act, in his best interests, both publicly and privately,” Eckardt remarked, per the Associated Press.
