A video from China is capturing hearts globally, racking up over 270 million views in under two weeks.
This footage, filmed by a local in Jilin province, features a group of seven dogs trekking down a highway, led by a corgi.
Reportedly, the dogs had been stolen and packed into a truck headed for the illegal dog meat trade. However, they managed to escape and traveled over 10 miles through harsh cold, with the pack taking care of an injured German shepherd.
Thankfully, all seven dogs made it back to their families.
Some are even saying this story would make a great movie. Glenn Beck mentioned that, while the heartwarming images are captivating, they only tell part of the story.
In his view, this tale resonates with over 270 million people because it highlights what many are missing in today’s world. “We’re living in a time where community, family, and truth seem to be fracturing,” he reflects.
He points out that societal messaging often tells individuals to prioritize their needs alone, warning against being dragged down by others’ weaknesses.
“But here, on this icy highway in China, these seven dogs reject that mindset. The strongest one slowed down, the smallest led the way, the injured were cared for, and together they persevered,” he remarks, emphasizing that their unity comes from love and loyalty, with no hidden agendas.
This solidarity led Beck to ponder some deeper questions.
He highlighted how Canada and the U.S. are expanding assisted suicide programs, which can affect vulnerable groups like veterans and children.
“We’re meant to be compassionate, yet we’re crafting a system where the vulnerable could be overlooked and the innocent disregarded,” he contemplates.
“These seven dogs remind us of an ancient truth: Don’t leave your companions behind. … We all return home together.”
