Nate Smith recently opened up about a rather playful incident that occurred while he was on stage with country artist Morgan Wallen. In a recent chat, Smith, who is 40, shared how he discovered that Wallen is quite generous. He humorously recalled a night when he might have, uh, accidentally thrown a drink at Wallen during their performance. “I thought I was being funny, but it turned out not to be,” he confessed. Despite the mishap, Wallen forgave him, which Smith appreciated.
Reflecting on the moment, he jokingly suggested that Wallen could’ve easily kicked him off the tour, but instead, they just laughed it off during a FaceTime chat later. His recounting of the event had a light-hearted tone as he described Wallen as a “very generous person,” adding that he, Smith, might have found himself in a similar situation.
Smith admitted that following the incident, he received quite a few calls, and, well, nobody seemed too thrilled about his on-stage antics. “Morgan, if you’re listening, I love you,” he said, expressing gratitude for not getting pranked back. “I thank you for being so graceful.” It’s funny how moments like this can bring people closer, or at least lead to some humorous exchanges.
Switching gears to Wallen’s journey, it’s been a bit bumpy since he shot to fame. He faced some serious trouble back in April 2024 when he got into legal issues after an incident at a Nashville bar. Later, in an interview, Wallen mentioned how challenging fame can be, noting that it often leads to uncomfortable situations.
“It’s not ideal to go anywhere,” he reflected. He seemed to suggest that while he loves performing, the accompanying pressures can sometimes be overwhelming. “I’ll find a way to make up for it,” he said, hinting at his cautious approach to navigating his fame moving forward.
