Hollywood Meets Basketball at Lakers Game

On Tuesday night, the spotlight wasn’t solely on the Los Angeles Lakers. The scene at Crypto.com Arena was equally about the high-profile celebrities mingling amidst the excitement—a mix reminiscent of two flashy cars speeding down Mulholland Drive.

During a Lakers game, you don’t just focus on what’s happening on the court; you’re also drawn to the crowd filled with renowned athletes, actors, and musicians. It’s like a who’s who of trendsetters.

Take a look at the quarterbacks. Several showed up to catch the Lakers as they faced off against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Among them was Justin Herbert from the Los Angeles Chargers, who sat next to his girlfriend Madison Beer.

Nearby sat Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young, followed by Ty Simpson, a former Alabama quarterback tipped to be a first-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Also courtside was former USC wide receiver Makai Lemon, who looks poised for a first-round selection as well.

Representing Cleveland, former Guardians baseball player Kenny Lofton came out to enjoy the game too.

The evening also showcased the music scene. Halsey, sporting a black top, looked like she could have been part of the game’s soundtrack.

Donovan Mitchell’s fiancée, Coco Jones, was also present, adding to the star-studded lineup.

Rock legends were in attendance too. Members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, including Anthony Kiedis, Free, and Chad Smith, brought their own energy, while Weezer’s Scott Schreiner and Brian Bell added some alternative rock flair.

Right across the court, you’d spot Jimmy Iovine, the renowned records manager.

Hollywood didn’t skip the chance to shine either. Vivica A. Fox and Ciara Carter were seated together, clearly enjoying the game. Nicholas Hoult and Damson Idris contributed to the contemporary star factor, while Noah Centineo showed off his T-shirt, likely pondering what role he might be up for next, I imagine. Emmy Award-winning director Ben Winston could very well have been taking notes on who he might want to cast in his next project.

As if on cue, they all witnessed the Lakers wrap up March with a solid 127-113 win against the Cavaliers. The team closed the month with an impressive 15-2 record, highlighted by Luka Doncic’s franchise-record 600 points during that stretch.
