Stephen A. Smith claims Tiger Woods leads a 'questionable life' following his DUI arrest

Stephen A. Smith Critiques Tiger Woods After Latest Arrest

Stephen A. Smith had some sharp words for Tiger Woods on Wednesday following Woods’ arrest for drunk driving. This incident came with news that Woods refuses to hire a driver to maintain some level of privacy regarding his whereabouts.

Smith posed some tough questions about Woods’ lifestyle choices, suggesting they might be “highly questionable” and potentially dangerous for both himself and others. He emphasized that, regardless of Woods’ concerns about privacy, the priority should be safety.

On “First Take,” Smith expressed frustration, stating, “Being a billionaire, you must be living a very questionable life that you don’t want to hire a driver. What are you trying to hide?” He pointed out that hiring someone to drive him wouldn’t compromise his privacy in any significant way.

“Our job isn’t to care about your privacy,” Smith said. “It’s to make sure people aren’t driving while drunk.” This is not Woods’ first run-in with the law; he has faced similar charges in the past, including a high-profile incident in 2017 involving prescription drugs.

Woods was involved in another crash recently, which led the police to believe he was impaired. Reports suggest that he was found with hydrocodone and had consumed alcohol that day.

Interestingly, despite his wealth, Woods reportedly avoids hiring a driver because he dislikes being watched and feels safe to drive. Sources indicated he prefers a quieter lifestyle, enjoying time with his family and video games over socializing.

Smith harshly criticized Woods for prioritizing his privacy over public safety, highlighting that this was not the first time Woods endangered himself and others. “You’ve been drunk three times behind the wheel,” Smith remarked. “What we want to hear is that you won’t get behind the wheel while intoxicated again.”

Woods recently acknowledged the seriousness of his situation and mentioned taking time off for treatment and health management. He stated, “I will be taking a period of time off to receive treatment and focus on my health,” asking for privacy as he seeks to recover.

Despite the challenges, it seems clear that the impact of his actions is far-reaching, affecting not only himself but also those around him. Smith’s remarks serve as a reminder of the responsibilities that come with both fame and wealth.
