Eugene Millman Hospitalized After Fiery Crash

Eugene Millman, known for his role in “Bob’s Burgers,” was hospitalized following a serious car accident in New Hampshire on Tuesday, March 31st. According to a statement from the New Hampshire Police Department, the incident occurred around 11:55 a.m. while Millman was driving on the F.E. Everett Turnpike. He crashed into the Bedford Toll Plaza, which led to his vehicle catching fire and him being trapped inside.

A veteran state trooper, whose identity has not been disclosed, was passing by the scene while protecting Governor Kelly Ayonte. The trooper, along with other bystanders, managed to pull Millman out through the window. Governor Ayonte expressed gratitude for the heroic actions of those who helped, stating, “Without hesitation, they put themselves at risk to provide assistance to those in need.”

After the accident, Millman’s representative released a statement saying, “Eugene was in a very scary car accident. He would like to thank the witnesses, state police, first responders, and hospital staff who helped save him. We are grateful that he is on the road to recovery. At this time, we ask for privacy for Eugene and his family as he focuses on recovering from his injuries.” He was then taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

The incident is still under investigation, and no charges have been filed as of now. Governor Ayonte also took to social media to commend the actions of both the police and bystanders, wishing Millman a swift recovery.

Millman has had a successful career, particularly known for voicing Gene Belcher since 2011. He began as a stand-up comedian, developing a reputation for his quirky and witty style. His accomplishments include various comedy albums and features. Reflecting on the growth of “Bob’s Burgers,” he stated, “It was great to be a part of a show that families watch together.” The series’ popularity ultimately led to the release of “The Bob’s Burgers Movie,” showcasing the family’s efforts to save their restaurant.

Millman has attributed the show’s success to its ability to serve as a comforting escape for viewers. He noted that while the series isn’t politically focused, it creates a warm, inclusive environment. As he pondered the show’s impact, he said, “I really think everyone should make what they want to make, and whoever watches it will hopefully find it.”
