Trump claims Iran is 'no longer a threat' following 32 days of US military strikes

Trump Declares Iran No Longer a Threat After Military Strikes

In a recent prime-time address, President Trump stated that after 32 days of U.S. military operations, Iran had become “essentially no longer a threat.” He claimed Iran was “eviscerated” following a series of attacks carried out by American forces. However, Trump also mentioned that the U.S. was preparing for further strikes in the coming weeks, even as diplomatic discussions continued.

“What I can tell you tonight is that we are on track to soon achieve all of America’s military goals. We are going to launch a very tough attack on the United States very soon,” he noted, indicating that these actions could happen within the next 2-3 weeks.

During his address, Trump highlighted the U.S. airstrike on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, asserting that the facilities targeted by B-2 bombers had been “destroyed.” He cautioned that additional strikes would occur if Iran attempted to recover nuclear material from these sites.

Trump remarked, “The nuclear facilities that we destroyed with our B-2 bombers were hit so hard that it will take months to get close to nuclear dust.” He also emphasized that any movement from Iran regarding their nuclear capabilities would prompt a strong military response.

Despite the military successes claimed by Trump, questions linger about Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile, which international monitoring agencies estimate holds around 900 to 1,000 pounds of uranium close to weapons-grade purity. This ongoing conflict seems to have had a destabilizing effect on global energy markets, pushing fuel prices higher for Americans.

The President addressed rising gas prices, linking them directly to Iranian aggression against commercial shipping and regional infrastructure. “Many Americans are concerned about the recent rise in gasoline prices in the country,” he said. “The short-term increase is solely the result of the Iranian regime launching extraordinary terrorist attacks against commercial oil tankers and neighboring countries.”

Moreover, Trump inferred that the airstrikes may have significantly altered Iran’s leadership. He mentioned the deaths of senior officials and warned of further military action if Iran does not negotiate a deal with the U.S. “We have never said anything about a change of government, but there was a change of government because all their original leaders are dead,” Trump asserted, adding, “If there’s no deal, we’re going to attack each of their power plants very hard, and probably at the same time.”

He also claimed that Iranian air defense systems had been effectively eliminated, stating, “They don’t have anti-aircraft equipment. Their radar is 100 percent destroyed. They can’t stop us.”

This situation is evolving, and updates will follow.
