Kristi Noem and her husband's marriage has faced difficulties for years prior to the cross-dressing revelation.

Kristi Noem expressed that she was “dazzled” upon learning about her husband dressing up as a woman, complete with oversized fake breasts and sharing photos, yet their marriage has not been without its issues for years.

Christy and Bryon Noem married in 1992 while she was still in college. They welcomed their first child in 1994, shortly after her father tragically passed away in a flour mill accident.

Brian has played a significant role in her political journey, supporting her during her state election in 2007 and her federal election in 2011.

In a 2022 interview, Kristi Noem described her family as “very transparent,” indicating a willingness to share aspects of their personal life, referring to themselves as an “open book.”

However, there’s another layer to their relationship that isn’t as public.

Noem’s affair with Corey Lewandowski, a former Trump campaign manager, has been talked about for some time and is considered one of the more notable secrets within political circles.

Rumors of their relationship have circulated since 2021, and in 2023, a publication provided startling details regarding their affair.

Kristi Noem mentioned feeling “devastated” upon discovering her husband’s hidden life as a cross-dresser who conversed with fetish models.

Although she has denied any wrongdoing, the speculation surrounding their relationship has continued to persist.

Reports suggest that the couple traveled extensively together, including work-related trips to destinations like El Salvador, Mexico, and Colombia, frequently utilizing donor planes for their excursions.

Last April, during an ICE operation in Phoenix, Lewandowski accompanied Noem, presenting himself as “Chief of Staff” while involved with a series of immigration raids.

Following this, the DHS clarified that he held the position of advisor and special government employee.

Additionally, it was reported that they rented apartments near each other in Washington, D.C., with Lewandowski routinely seen leaving his condo to head to her place.

Sources indicated they still maintained an extramarital relationship despite separate living situations.

Noem later sought refuge in a military residence due to threats related to her position overseeing ICE’s actions.

Meanwhile, Bryon returned to his hometown and runs Noem Insurance in Bryant, which has a population of only 471. His family commented on the shocking nature of the situation but expressed a desire to move past the incident, believing he would stay married due to his deep Christian values.

One family member noted that Bryon had decided nearly two decades ago that his purpose was to support her, even enduring humiliation. They expressed uncertainty about how much longer he might be able to uphold that commitment.

Kristi Noem’s loyalty was on display when she attended a House hearing recently, where she was questioned about her relationship with Lewandowski. She characterized the inquiry as “tabloid trash” but avoided a direct denial.

This led to some frustration, particularly among Bryon’s relatives, who pointed out that she didn’t explicitly say “no.”

The couple shares three adult children, and it’s believed that their unusual relationship dynamics may be affecting them.

“Bryon is a Christian and views marriage as eternal,” a relative stated. “He’s very close to the kids. This must be really hard for them.”

Representatives for Noem and Lewandowski did not respond to requests for comments.
