Tiger Woods DUI Incident: Breathalyzer Footage Released

After last week’s car accident involving Tiger Woods, along with his DUI arrest, authorities shared a video of the breathalyzer test conducted on him. This footage was made public on Thursday.

In the video, an officer speaks to Woods, seated in the front of his vehicle. When asked if he had consumed any alcohol, Woods answered, “Nothing.” However, he did acknowledge taking “a few pills” earlier that morning before driving.

The officer then proceeded to have Woods focus on her hands for about a minute as part of the sobriety test. During this, Woods seemed to be experiencing some hiccups.

Additional footage revealed Woods on his knees, holding his arm while another officer questioned him. He mentioned being “on the phone” before the accident when queried by the police.

The video depicted his arrest, revealing that Woods appeared somewhat confused. Officers searched him and uncovered two white pills in his pockets.

Woods was later placed in the back of a police car. His vehicle was found overturned; he had been attempting to pass a truck in his SUV and clipped a Ford F-150, leading to the incident as he swerved to avoid oncoming traffic.

Interestingly, while the breathalyzer test indicated no drinking, he was detained after Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek noted that Woods appeared impaired by “some type of drug or substance.”

Following his release and subsequent plea of not guilty, Woods offered an apology on social media. He expressed understanding of the severity of his situation and mentioned he would take time off for treatment, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing his health.

This incident marks his fourth car accident since 2009 and his second DUI arrest since 2017.

Despite reported struggles with driving and public scrutiny, Woods opted not to hire a personal driver, as he “didn’t want anyone to watch me or know what I was doing,” according to a source. This source noted that Woods tends to prefer staying home with his children, practicing golf, and playing video games, largely avoiding public attention.
