Tiger Woods Arrested on Suspicion of Drunk Driving
Body camera footage has surfaced showing Tiger Woods appearing drowsy and disoriented during his arrest on suspicion of drunk driving last Friday. The incident began when Woods collided with another vehicle, which led his 2025 Range Rover to roll onto the driver’s side. After being assisted out of the car about two hours later, he was taken to the back seat of a police vehicle.
This isn’t Woods’ first run-in with the law regarding drunk driving; he faced a similar situation back in 2017.
As he settled into the police car, Woods, seemingly in disbelief, remarked to himself, “This is fun,” in a sarcastic tone. He failed a field sobriety test and showed signs of impairment, described as lethargic. While a breathalyzer indicated a “triple zero,” indicating no alcohol consumption, he declined to provide a urine sample, resulting in further charges. During the encounter, officers discovered two hydrocodone pills, which are prescribed for pain relief.
Woods informed law enforcement that he had undergone numerous surgeries, including seven on his back and over twenty on his legs. He admitted to using several prescription medications. In 2021, Woods had a significant accident, leaving him with serious leg injuries that kept him off the golf course for a year.
In a surprising twist, Woods claimed he had been “talking to the president” before his arrest. He is currently in a relationship with Vanessa, the mother of President Trump’s granddaughter Kai, who happens to be Donald Jr.’s ex-wife. Trump remarked that Woods has lived a life filled with pain, emphasizing that while he doesn’t struggle with alcohol, he endures significant physical discomfort.
Woods expressed his desire to compete in the Masters, yet stated he needs to pause his golfing comeback to focus on medical treatment. In a statement shared on social media, he acknowledged the seriousness of his situation and stressed the importance of prioritizing his health for a sustained recovery.
He concluded by stating his commitment to taking the necessary time to return to a healthier and more focused state, both personally and professionally, while asking for privacy for himself and his family during this period.
