Actor Eugene Mirman Rescued from Fiery Crash

In a shocking incident captured on video, Eugene Mirman, known for his role as Gene Belcher in “Bob’s Burgers,” was pulled from his burning car shortly after crashing into a tollbooth in Bedford, New Hampshire. The footage shows flames erupting from the wreckage, with the rescue taking place just moments after the 51-year-old’s electric vehicle collided with the booth on Tuesday.

First responders, including state troopers assigned to New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte, happened upon the crash scene as they were nearby. Debris from Mirman’s car was strewn across the roadway while firefighters worked to extinguish the fire.

A state trooper, along with two others, acted quickly to extract Mirman through the window. “Without hesitation, they put themselves at risk to provide assistance to those in need,” commented State Police Col. Mark Hall.

Meanwhile, the governor also leapt from her car to retrieve a fire extinguisher. After the distressing event, Ayotte expressed her gratitude, saying, “I would like to thank the police officers who guarded me and the bystanders who assisted in the heroic life-saving efforts at the scene of the accident.”

Mirman suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. His agent, Jay Glasner, later confirmed the incident, stating, “Eugene was in a very horrific car accident.” He extended his thanks to witnesses, first responders, and hospital staff, affirming that Mirman is on the path to recovery and requesting privacy for him and his family during this time.

As of now, investigations continue to determine the cause of the crash, with no arrests reported.
