'Epstein Egg Hunt' prompts liberals to search Manhattan for $200 reward as organizer receives a summons

A liberal group, positioning itself against Turning Point USA, was subpoenaed while hosting an “Epstein Easter Egg Hunt” in Manhattan, where participants searched for plastic eggs for a $200 prize.

A youth organization called Disrupt gathered around 45 people at Washington Square Park for this unconventional egg hunt, intended to highlight accountability regarding various roles connected to New York City and the Epstein case. The organizers urged attendees to check their event description.

Chanting, “Free the name, free the name, free the name,” the engaged crowd dispersed to find eggs containing QR codes that led to Epstein-related documents.

Participants then answered questions based on the document, with each correct response earning them a point. Among the eggs, one special golden egg held an edited file.

“Just like Willy Wonka had a golden ticket, we have golden eggs spread all over Manhattan,” said Carlos Calzadilla Palacio, 28, president of Disrupt, while balancing by a fountain at the park.

In total, about 800 eggs were hidden in 20 various locations, including Epstein’s apartment complex on the Upper East Side and Trump Tower on the Upper West Side.

While the egg hunt unfolded, Calzadilla Palacio faced issues and received a citation, along with a $50 fine, for what the group deemed “political activity.”

Disrupt criticized the subpoena as a “direct violation of the First Amendment,” claiming that the ticket was issued because Calzadilla Palacio lacked a permit for an “Epstein table.”

The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, which issued the citation, did not provide a comment when approached.

The top prize winner, Everett J. Wolk, shared his unsettling views about Epstein’s crimes, expressing that being part of the event was informative yet disturbing. “I felt like I needed to take a shower,” he admitted.
