A birthday celebration for YouTuber Zabala in Silver Lake turned chaotic on Sunday when police were called to a possible bomb threat at the Los Globos nightclub.
This was not the first time Zabala has been involved in such an incident, as this was the second occurrence within two months. During the event, video footage captured a Los Angeles Metro bus halted behind yellow crime scene tape, while police directed a large crowd toward Silverlake Boulevard along Sunset Boulevard.
On March 11, a prior swatting call led to a significant police response at an Arcadia shopping mall while Zabala and another influencer were livestreaming. The mall was briefly locked down as officers conducted a sweep of a store.
Swatting is essentially a dangerous prank where someone falsely reports a major emergency, triggering a heavy police response, which can be terrifying for those involved.
Reports state that as people were enjoying the party, a helicopter appeared overhead, causing authorities to begin clearing the venue. At least one individual was treated for an eye injury amid the commotion, but it remains uncertain if anyone required hospitalization.
