Former Assistant Sues Howard Stern and Wife
Leslie Kuhn, who previously worked as Howard Stern’s executive assistant, has filed a lawsuit against him and his wife, Beth, accusing them of creating a “hostile work environment.”
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Kuhn claims that Stern and Beth asked her to move into their expansive 20,000-square-foot home in Southampton. She alleges that Beth significantly increased her workload, which ultimately led to her dismissal less than two years later.
The lawsuit asserts that her firing was a result of a “hostile work environment,” compounded by chaotic business practices and overwhelming pressures linked to their animal rescue and fostering activities on the property.
In her complaint, Kuhn alleges that a law firm representing Stern’s production company provided her with a separation agreement that included a nondisclosure agreement (NDA). She claims the NDA was initially signed before her interview and that her signature appears to be just her name typed in the same font as the agreement, according to TMZ.
Kuhn is asking the court to declare the NDA unenforceable, allowing her to discuss her employment conditions and share her experiences without restriction.
She further claims that she was tasked with managing the staff at Stern’s mansion, which involved scheduling, payroll, and other household responsibilities. This included overseeing Beth’s animal rescue operations, which reportedly involved more than 900 cats over a five-year span, as noted by TMZ.
As of now, it’s unclear what amount Kuhn is seeking in this lawsuit, and Stern has yet to respond to requests for comment.
