Betting markets indicate strong support for Giants selection in 2026 NFL Draft

The Giants hold the No. 5 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, and there’s a lot at stake if they hope to make the most of their first season under new head coach John Harbaugh.

Ohio State linebacker Sonny Stiles currently stands out as the favorite on the Calci prediction market, where he has about a 30% chance of being drafted by the Giants. This prediction aligns with odds from bet365, which also places him as the front-runner with +180 odds.

During his four seasons at Ohio State, Stiles contributed significantly, especially in the Buckeyes’ 2024 national championship run, where he tallied 100 tackles and six sacks as a junior. His senior year was solid too, with 82 tackles, one sack, and an interception.

Carsi noted that Stiles was hitting a high of 58 percent back in late February, though that figure has dipped a bit. Still, he’s ahead of teammate Caleb Downs, who has a 16% chance of being the fifth pick. Downs, the 2025 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and a two-time All-American safety, has +360 odds for the same spot with the Giants.

Other players being considered at No. 5 include fellow Buckeye wide receiver Colonel Tate (16%), running back Jeremiah Love from Notre Dame (14%), and Miami offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa (14%).

Mauigoa might fill a pressing need on the offensive line for the Giants. Although they’ve brought in Lucas Patrick and Daniel Faalele, the line still seems like a weak point, particularly given Jackson Dart’s playing style.

Meanwhile, Tate could help strengthen the receiving corps, especially since star receiver Malik Nabors won’t be available until training camp. After discussions about a possible Odell Beckham Jr. reunion were quashed by Harbaugh, it’s clear the Giants need to bolster their options on the field.

With three weeks left until the draft, it’s still uncertain who the Giants will ultimately select. But based on current odds, it’s likely they’ll go for a Buckeye, whatever position that may be.
