Ben Affleck has reportedly transferred his entire share of a $60 million mansion to his ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, free of charge.
The former spouses updated their property settlement agreement, clarifying the “transfer of property between spouses,” as covered by a recent report.
While the documents don’t provide detailed information about the transfer, a source shared that Affleck gave up all his rights to the property without compensation.
Affleck and Lopez acquired the mansion in Beverly Hills, California, for $60.85 million back in June 2023, during their marriage. The impressive 38,000-square-foot residence boasts 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms, alongside a full basketball court, designed as a luxurious retreat.
There were reports that the couple paid for the home entirely in cash at the time of purchase.
A year later, amid divorce rumors, they placed their marital home on the market. Reports indicated Lopez found the house “too big” for her, while Affleck had never been keen on it. Ultimately, they dissolved their marriage two months later.
That same summer, Affleck bought a $20.5 million home in Pacific Palisades to be closer to his three children from his previous marriage to Jennifer Garner.
Although they finalized their divorce in January 2025, uncertainty lingers regarding the mansion as it had not yet been sold.
In March, Lopez acquired an $18 million home for her twins from her former marriage to Marc Anthony. However, last summer, Affleck and Lopez took the Beverly Hills home off the market, apparently due to business considerations.
One source revealed, “They initially aimed to sell but were wary of accepting a significant loss.” They made price adjustments to attract interest but ultimately decided to withdraw it.
A real estate insider highlighted the challenges in this price range for sellers, indicating it may have been prudent to wait for a more favorable market.
Given these recent developments, it appears Lopez now fully controls the fate of the mansion. She’s expressed feeling “free” following her divorce, noting a sense of happiness in her current life.
