Jillian Michaels Leaves Democratic Party, Critiques New Left Ideology

Jillian Michaels, a well-known fitness personality, recently shared her reasons for departing from the Democratic Party during an appearance on a podcast with Sean Hannity. She argues that the left’s fixation on labels has led to a self-destructive situation where Democrats seem to “eat their own.”

Michaels reflected on her past, noting that attributes that once connected her to the left—her Jewish, Arab, and gay background, as well as being a mother to a Black child—have now transformed into negative labels like “bigot” after she expressed her opinions on certain issues following her move from California.

“I observe and think, ‘Wow, they just keep going,'” Michaels remarked about the Democratic Party. It seems her stance has shifted dramatically in recent years, prompting her to reassess where she fits in politically.

She expressed concern over how the party has changed, citing instances where she feels it no longer represents those it claims to protect. Michaels claimed that border security was a major breaking point for her, mentioning her experience working with the U.N. refugee agency and adopting a child from Haiti. However, she now fears that the open border policy could pose serious national security risks.

“At the end of the day, we’re going to have to make the decision, ‘No, no, no, let’s close the borders,'” she stated. Her call for more stringent border control reflects her worries about the strain that unvetted immigration may place on existing infrastructure and legitimate immigration processes.

Michaels also noted that some voices from immigrant communities, particularly Iranians and Venezuelans, feel abandoned by the Democratic Party, arguing that these individuals seek to support authentic changes in their home countries, yet find that their opinions are disregarded by those in power. She claimed that as soon as such perspectives no longer align with the party’s agenda, those voices are pushed out, regardless of their backgrounds or identities.

In summary, Michaels is quite vocal about her discontent with the current trajectory of the Democratic Party, feeling as though it has strayed from its foundational principles while marginalizing individuals with divergent viewpoints.
