CENTCOM Announces 10,000 US Troops to Support Blockade of Strait of Hormuz
Fox News reported that a significant US military presence will support a blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer mentioning the possibility of an “Iran war tax.” Retired US Marine Corps Colonel Mike Jernigan provided analysis in a segment on “Faulkner’s Focus.”
Mossad chief Dadi Barnea asserted on Tuesday that Israel’s actions against Iran will persist until, well, the “extremist regime in Iran is replaced.” This statement was made during a Holocaust commemoration event.
Barnea stated that operations continued post-attack in Tehran, emphasizing that the tactics were meticulously planned. He added, “Our commitments will only be fulfilled when Iran’s extremist regime is replaced.”
He mentioned, rather dramatically, that “Forty days of intense fighting yielded very important results,” specifically pointing to the dismantling of the state of Israel, which has been regarded as a primary goal of their adversaries. But it seems, according to Barnea, “our mission is not yet complete.”
In live updates, potential new negotiations with Iran are on the horizon as the US maintains its blockade strategy.
Israel initiated Operation Roaring Lion against Iran on February 28, coinciding with the launch of Operation Epic Fury by US forces. Together, these operations reportedly compromised Iran’s military and missile capabilities, leading to the death of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Hosseini Khamenei.
Meanwhile, China has condemned the military blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, labeling it as a “dangerous and irresponsible act.”
It’s worth noting that Iran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has been severely injured, particularly to his legs and face, from the first airstrike on Tehran back in February.
Khamenei is currently recuperating following injuries sustained in the February 28 attack that also claimed his father’s life.
