Greene Expresses Frustration Over Trump’s Response to Death Threats

Former Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene shared on Wednesday her concerns regarding President Donald Trump’s lack of empathy after she reported a rise in death threats against her and her family.

In an appearance on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” Greene discussed her fallout with Trump, expressing disappointment with his recent political remarks. She explained that she contacted Trump and various key officials after receiving alarming threats tied to political attacks aimed at her.

“The death threats against one of my children increased significantly. I reported them to FBI Director Kash Patel, and I reached out to Vice President J.D. Vance, Susie Wiles, James Blair, and even emailed the President. I was upset that my children were involved in this. One death threat even quoted Trump calling me a traitor, which I firmly reject. Defending victims doesn’t constitute treason. I wanted to let the President know what was happening concerning his rhetoric, but he responded very poorly. That was our last communication,” Greene recounted.

She indicated that Trump showed little sympathy and, rather, shifted the blame onto her for the threats.

“He effectively pointed fingers. There was no sense of compassion for the death threats against my children; he implied that if something happened to my son, it was my fault,” Greene said. “I responded firmly, stating that no child should become a target of death threats due to political disagreements.”

Greene mentioned that she wouldn’t have reacted similarly to a political rival in Congress, illustrating her point about differing standards in political discourse.

When asked by Piers Morgan about her thoughts on Trump’s response, Greene said, “It unmistakably reveals his character. It’s like a definitive marker. I’ve encountered criticism from political opponents, but no one would ever voice something like that. It’s hard to comprehend that someone could lack concern for a child facing death threats.”

Greene’s rapport with Trump has reportedly deteriorated since he distanced himself over significant policy differences, including disagreements over military actions and transparency concerning Jeffrey Epstein-related records.

Just days before Trump retracted his support for Greene, she publicly criticized Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa for visiting the White House while calling for a focus on domestic issues instead of foreign engagements.
