13-Year-Old Claims She Wielded Knife and Axe After Being Allegedly Sexually Harassed and Pushed by a Man

Incident At Dundee Sheriff Court

A 13-year-old girl recently recounted an alarming experience at Dundee Sheriff Court, detailing how she confronted a man who sexually harassed her by wielding a knife and an ax.

In August 2025, while walking with her sister and three friends along St Anne’s Lane in Dundee’s Lochee area, the girl claimed they encountered two men, one in his twenties, who began making inappropriate remarks. She stated that the man repeatedly urged her, “Come dressed sexy and I’ll show you how to have a good time.” This made her feel understandably upset and, as she described, “angry.”

When asked about her reactions during the incident, the girl explained that she yelled at the man. Her sister then shouted at the male suspect, while a friend intervened to keep the situation from escalating further. Shortly after, the girl alleged that a woman approached and physically assaulted them by pushing her down and throwing her sister to the ground.

The accused man, identified as Bulgarian national Nadjeja Belova, has been involved in the case, according to reports. Following the altercation, the girl took out a knife and an ax she had concealed in her waistband, noting that the man continued to record her actions.

In a video circulated on X, the girl can be seen brandishing the weapons, with her friend urging the man to step back. During cross-examination, she admitted to disposing of one of the weapons in a nearby traffic circle but denied having labeled Belov as an “immigrant.”

August 2025 also saw British MP Rupert Lowe, the chair of the Rape Commission, release a statement revealing findings about gang sexual exploitation of children. He highlighted 85 local authorities across the UK where such exploitation has been reported, primarily involving Pakistani men.

Belov has denied all accusations, including claims he followed the girls. His trial is set to continue until June, and both he and Belova had previously pleaded not guilty in March.
