Christina Applegate Hospitalized in Los Angeles
Christina Applegate has been reported as hospitalized in Los Angeles. The 54-year-old actress has been facing challenges related to multiple sclerosis since her diagnosis in 2021, and it appears she was admitted in late March.
Details about whether her hospitalization is connected to her ongoing health issues remain unclear.
A representative for Applegate commented, “We will not disclose any information regarding her hospitalization or treatment. She has been open about her complex medical history, as shown in her memoir and podcast.”
Applegate has consistently addressed her condition, with her most recent comments in February revealing that she had been bedridden due to persistent pain.
She expressed heartfelt feelings during an interview, mentioning her efforts to take her 15-year-old daughter, Sadie, to school and other activities, despite her struggles. “I want to take her with me. It’s my favorite thing to do. Those moments are so precious,” she shared. “I just focus on getting her home safely so I can return to bed.”
In her memoir, “You With the Sad Eyes,” Applegate reflects on her career in Hollywood and her ongoing battle with MS.
Applegate is married to Dutch musician Martin Lenoble, and the couple shares a daughter. She publicly revealed her MS diagnosis on social media in August 2021, sharing her experiences with the disease.
At that time, she wrote, “A few months ago, I was diagnosed with MS. It’s been an unusual journey, but I find comfort in the support from others facing similar challenges. It’s a tough road, but one that continues unless something stops it.”
Drawing on wisdom from a friend with MS, she noted, “We wake up and do what we need to.” She requested privacy as she navigates this journey.
Best known for her role as rebellious teenager Kelly Bundy on the sitcom “Married… with Children,” which aired from 1987 to 1997, Applegate has shared her experiences in her recent memoir, exploring both her profession and her health challenges.
