22-year-old teacher's aide in Arizona charged with having a sexual relationship with a student, resulting in pregnancy

In Arizona, a teacher’s assistant has been arrested amid allegations of engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old student on several occasions. This disturbing situation reportedly involves a potential pregnancy and alarming discussions about causing a miscarriage.

Jessenia Rodriguez, aged 22, worked at Sun Valley Academy in Avondale and is alleged to have had three sexual encounters with an eighth-grade girl during March. Court records indicate that Rodriguez became pregnant shortly after their first encounter at her residence.

The victim reported to authorities that she did not use any protection during the initial sexual encounter and ended up purchasing Plan B for Rodriguez. However, just two weeks later, the assistant sent her photos of a positive pregnancy test.

Documents from court reveal that the two communicated about how “rough sex” might potentially “cause a miscarriage,” and they even discussed the option of abortion.

According to what the victim told investigators, Rodriguez had sexual relations with her two more times, with one instance occurring on a park bench near the student’s home.

The boy shared with the police that Rodriguez insisted he keep their encounters confidential, cautioning him about the consequences if anyone discovered what had been happening. However, his stepmother eventually uncovered their unsettling messages on his phone.

Upon examining the boy’s phone, police reportedly found numerous explicit photos and messages, including a Snapchat conversation where Rodriguez expressed her attraction to him and detailed her intimate dreams about him.

Rodriguez was taken into custody on Thursday, and is claimed to have acknowledged being aware of the victim’s age and having feelings for her. Disturbingly, she mentioned wanting to start a family with the victim upon her turning 18.

She faces charges for luring a minor for sexual exploitation and four counts of sexual conduct with a minor.

As of now, it remains uncertain whether Rodriguez is indeed pregnant.

Sun Valley Academy has stated they are fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Officials mentioned they are aware of the allegations involving former employees and take the matter very seriously. They emphasized that the safety and well-being of their students is a top priority. Although the events did not occur on school grounds, they reported the incident to the Avondale Police Department immediately.

Rodriguez is currently held on a cash-only bail set at $100,000.
