Patrick Muldoon, known for his role on “Days of Our Lives,” has reportedly died unexpectedly at age 57 after experiencing a heart attack on Sunday morning.

According to his sister, Shanna Muldoon-Zappa, the actor was having coffee with his girlfriend at their home in Beverly Hills when he went to take a shower. When he took longer than expected, she checked on him and found him unconscious on the bathroom floor. Despite the efforts of paramedics to revive him, they were unable to save him.

Muldoon had a substantial career, having appeared in various popular shows and films such as “Starship Troopers” and “Melrose Place.” It was noted that he was in the midst of working as an executive producer on a film titled “Cockroach,” featuring notable actors like Chris Hemsworth and Alec Baldwin. Interestingly, his last post on social media was a positive update about this project.

Throughout his career, Muldoon had numerous roles spanning decades. He was recognized for his part as Matt in the beloved 90s sitcom “Who’s The Boss” and had a recurring character, Jeffrey Hunter, on “Saved By The Bell.” However, fans fondly remember him especially for his portrayal of Austin Reed on “Days of Our Lives,” a character he played from 1992 to 1995 and later reprised from 2011 to 2012.

Muldoon is survived by his partner Miriam Rothbart, his parents, sister, brother-in-law, and his niece and nephew, Halo and Arrow Zappa.
