Azealia Banks Criticizes Gay Liberals and Praises Republicans
Rapper Azealia Banks recently expressed her strong opinions about gay liberals and shared her appreciation for the Republican Party. Her comments, posted on X, certainly sparked a discussion.
In a pointed remark, she said, “I don’t care how many kids died in Gaza; you can’t guilt-trip me. Liberalism is dead.” Banks went on to express a preference for Republican governance, claiming it feels refreshing for women in America where she feels marginalized voices, particularly from the LGBTQ+ community, hold no weight.
She controversially criticized how she believes that gay men are impacting women’s rights and finances, stating, “They’re taking women’s places in society and redirecting funds from women’s health to their own transitions.” Her language was quite confrontational, urging for a complete defunding of what she termed “the faggots.”
Banks continued her critique, asserting that she received backlash from gay individuals, who labeled her as a bigot. She reiterated, “Liberalism is totally dead,” seemingly unconcerned about the criticism she faced.
Previously, she had made controversial statements on social media about LGBTQ+ identities, suggesting that some individuals are products of mental illness resulting from trauma.
She concluded her tirade against liberalism by saying, “I don’t care how many people are trying to tarnish the image of Black America; liberalism is over.”
This isn’t the first time Banks has stirred controversy. In the past, she has made disparaging comments about different groups and expressed her frustrations related to various social issues.
