ICE Arrests Multiple Illegal Aliens with Violent Crime Convictions
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recently apprehended an illegal alien with a history of violent offenses, including rape, child molestation, and kidnapping, according to reports.
Homeland Security Secretary Lauren Biss stated, “Last weekend, the heroic men and women of ICE arrested illegal aliens who had been convicted of some of the worst crimes imaginable, including sex trafficking, child rape, and kidnapping.”
Among those detained were Walter Perez-Avila from Guatemala and Miguel López-Jimens from Mexico. Perez-Avila had previously been convicted of rape in Brooklyn, New York, while López-Jimens faced charges of child sexual assault and sex trafficking in Larimer County, Colorado.
ICE also arrested Charles Amofah from Ghana, Nava Kumar Tupiri from India, and Ruben Cabrera Saucedo from Mexico. Amofah was convicted in Maryland for sexual solicitation of a minor, kidnapping, and other serious offenses. In Michigan, Tupiri was found guilty of soliciting minors for immoral purposes and utilizing a computer for criminal activities. Cabrera-Saucedo had a kidnapping conviction in Texas.
Additionally, other illegal aliens were taken into custody over the weekend:
- Oluwasegun Faruk Sanni from Nigeria, convicted of second-degree sexual assault in Rhode Island.
- Starlin Jose Batista from the Dominican Republic, convicted of armed robbery and assault in Massachusetts.
- Herbers Orellana Ventura from El Salvador, convicted of aggravated assault in South Dakota.
- Hubert Perez Hernandez from Cuba, convicted of assault with a deadly weapon in North Carolina.
- Jose Zuniga Escalante from Mexico, convicted of assault and battery in Texas.
- Daniel Jesús Piedra Fernández from Colombia, convicted of theft and conspiracy in Nevada.
- Dave Casagrande Zambrano from Ecuador, convicted of robbery in New York.
- Alvaro Estrada Cruz from Guatemala, convicted of cocaine distribution in Oklahoma.
- Samir Alejandro Flores de Leon from Venezuela, convicted of forgery and theft in New York.
Biss emphasized, “ICE law enforcement never stops working to remove criminally illegal aliens from American communities, even on weekends. When you meet an ICE law enforcement officer, thank them for removing these heinous criminals from our country.”
