Jon Rahm's caddie is putting his house on the market for $14 million.

Being a caddy for top golfers appears to be a pretty lucrative gig.

Adam Hayes, who has been the caddy for two-time major champion and LIV Golf player Jon Rahm, is selling his sprawling 100-acre estate located 32 miles from Charlotte for nearly $14 million. The Wall Street Journal has reported this.

Hayes, at 49, and his wife Brandi, who works in real estate, have previously built and sold two houses. They completed this impressive 5,435-square-foot home in suburban Denver, North Carolina, back in 2021.

While specific details about how much they invested in building the home remain undisclosed, property records indicate they purchased the land and an adjacent plot for $1 million in 2019.

What Hayes earns as Rahm’s caddy isn’t clearly defined, but considering Rahm’s impressive earnings, it’s reasonable to suggest that he’s doing quite well financially himself.

Typically, caddies can expect a base salary up to $3,000 for each tournament they attend, plus a cut from the golfer’s winnings: 5% if they qualify, scaling up to 10% if they win a tour event.

Rahm, a 31-year-old from Spain who clinched the 2021 U.S. Open and the 2023 Masters, has racked up over $176 million throughout his career. Notably, he earned $87.8 million from LIV Golf in just the last three years. Just recently, Rahm won $4 million at the LIV tournament in Mexico City.

Taxing LIV earnings at a conservative rate of 5% would add up to nearly $4.4 million for Rahm over those three years.

In the time that Hayes has been caddying for Rahm, he’s helped contribute to eight of those wins.

The home features an extravagant $75,000 golf simulator within a 3,000-square-foot entertainment complex that also includes a gym and a batting cage.

According to reports, the highest home sale in the region stands at $12 million.
