A writer and content creator known for UFO-related content, David Wilcock, passed away earlier this week in what authorities believe is a suicide, as reported by Colorado officials.
The Boulder County Coroner’s Office confirmed that the 53-year-old Wilcock died on Monday, April 20th. A 911 call prompted a response from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office around 10:45 a.m., with reports of an individual experiencing a mental health crisis.
Upon arrival, authorities found Wilcock outside his home with a weapon. Tragically, within minutes of their arrival, he took his own life.
Officials noted that there were no other individuals in the residence and stated there was no ongoing threat to the public. Wilcock was notably an influential figure in the UFO debunking movement, often claiming that the U.S. government withheld information about extraterrestrial life.
He had a significant online presence, amassing hundreds of thousands of followers on platforms like YouTube and Facebook, where he frequently shared his insights on UFOs. Also a familiar face on the History Channel’s *Ancient Aliens*, Wilcock was the author of multiple books, including the New York Times bestsellers *The Synchronicity Key* and *The Source Field Investigations*.
Just days before his death, on April 18th, he expressed concerns in a post on X, mentioning he might not release a scheduled show, describing some recent events as “very intense.” He concluded with a message of gratitude for the support he received from followers, declaring, “Always remember that the Creator is within, and we live in a loving universe.”
Interestingly, he had previously made a statement about his mental health in December 2022, reassuring his audience that he was not suicidal and expressing concerns about the implications of divine existence.
