Attack on a 15-Year-Old in Harlem
A video has surfaced showing a violent incident involving a 14-year-old boy who assaulted a girl on a Harlem street. The attack reportedly stemmed from the girl refusing to provide her phone number.
The altercation, targeting a 15-year-old victim, took place around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of East 107th Street and Third Avenue, shortly after school dismissal on a Monday.
The disturbing footage features a larger individual in front of the victim, warning him, “I’m going to beat the shit out of you right now.” An off-camera voice can be heard encouraging him, saying, “Just do it!”
As the girl attempted to cross the street, the attacker pointed to the ground, insisting, “No, you stand here.” When she tried to escape, he physically shoved her back.
In a show of defiance, she confronted him, exclaiming, “Get away from me, you son of a bitch!” before attempting to walk away. However, the assailant, whose face was obscured by a mask, pursued her, grabbed her from behind, and slammed her onto the pavement.
Not content with that, he then stomped on her head while she lay on the ground.
Reportedly, the girl sustained a concussion and was transported to Harlem Hospital, where she is currently in stable condition. The assailant was arrested and charged with assault, with a court appearance scheduled in family court on Thursday.
The community’s reaction has been one of outrage. Comments following the video reflect a spectrum of emotions:
- One individual remarked, “Arrest the cameraman too. He enjoyed it.”
- Another commenter insisted, “He should get the death penalty.”
- A user expressed skepticism about justice, saying, “He was fined $75 and will be back on the streets.”
- Another commented, “If it was my daughter, the police would have to detain him for his safety.”
- Finally, someone noted, “Absolutely evil. Age doesn’t matter. We must protect ordinary citizens in society.”
