Tim Tebow Remembers His Father, Bob Tebow

Tim Tebow, the former NFL quarterback, reflects on his father not just as a dad but as a committed Christian who maintained a strong faith in God until the end.

Following the passing of his father, Bob Tebow, Tim shared thoughtful words on social media, emphasizing a message of hope rather than sorrow. He wrote, “Last night my father was welcomed home and heaven welcomed a hero of the faith.”

Tim mentioned that his father is now “recovered and whole,” urging that those who are hopeful shouldn’t grieve as if there’s a loss. He had publicly revealed a decade ago that his father faced Parkinson’s disease, having been diagnosed in 2016.

In the wake of condolences, Tim offered a unique viewpoint shaped by his beliefs. He stated, “Many will say ‘sorry he’s gone,’ but the truth is, he’s not missing. We know exactly where he is. He’s home. Forever!”

Before his father’s passing, Tim had asked what Bob was most looking forward to in heaven. Bob simply responded with “yes,” eager to meet Jesus in person.

Bob Tebow’s legacy extends significantly beyond his family. The Tim Tebow Foundation highlighted his dedication to missionary efforts, particularly in the Philippines, where he spent years sharing the gospel. The foundation mentioned his “deep and abiding love for the Savior” and noted that his life’s work was about advancing the Kingdom of God.

The organization, founded by Tim in 2010, aims to reflect the values central to his father’s life, focusing on bringing “faith, hope, and love” to vulnerable communities worldwide. They work on various fronts, including fighting human trafficking and supporting orphan care.

As tributes continued, many shared their experiences of loss, blending sadness with hope, and finding solace in the belief that their loved ones are “home” with Jesus. A commenter on Tim’s post wrote, “Beautiful and godly words. For us in Christ, death is no sting.” Another added, “It’s so hard to see our heroes go home. Praying for you, Tim.”

Tim concluded his reflection with a heartfelt message about his father: “See you soon, Dad.”
