Michael Rubin appears to be uninterested in competing with Taylor Swift's wedding.

Michael Rubin, the head of Fanatics, has gained quite a reputation for his extravagant Fourth of July gatherings at his home in the Hamptons. This year, he’s put together a particularly impressive guest list.

Interestingly, we’ve learned that this year’s party has been moved to Wednesday, July 1st. The change is meant to avoid clashing with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s upcoming wedding, which many are anticipating to be quite the event.

In past years, Rubin has hosted a range of celebrities—think Drake, Beyoncé, and Kim Kardashian, among others—at his Bridgehampton residence. This bash has been widely covered in media outlets like Vogue and the New York Post.

However, with news of Swift’s wedding, which is confirmed to take place in New York over the holiday weekend, it seems Rubin decided to adjust his plans.

It’s a bit ambiguous whether he wanted to spare the newlyweds some attention or if he was concerned that the wedding’s star-studded guest list would overshadow his gathering. It seems more plausible that it’s the former, given that many of his regulars might not even make the guest list for Swift’s big day.

Swift, on her end, is no stranger to memorable Fourth of July celebrations herself. At her Rhode Island home, she’s hosted friends like Blake Lively and Gigi Hadid at her lively gatherings filled with hot dogs and fun.

Details surrounding Swift’s wedding remain under wraps, but reports suggest it will take place in New York, although it’s unclear if it will be in one of the boroughs or perhaps further east.

A representative for Rubin was not available for comment.
