Teacher Arrested for Sexual Assault in San Antonio

An elementary school teacher in San Antonio, Texas, has been arrested and charged with persistent sexual assault involving minors. Authorities made the announcement on a Facebook post, revealing that 46-year-old Cecilia Moller was taken into custody on Monday following an investigation.

Police are concerned there may be additional victims and have urged anyone with information to come forward.

One former student, now 20, reported being part of Muller’s fifth-grade class at Lewis Elementary during the 2016-2017 school year. This student claimed that Moller made them one of her “favorites” and they discussed topics like unrequited love—certainly not typical teacher-student conversations. Apparently, during lunch in her classroom, Moller sometimes showed students explicit music videos, including pornographic content, encouraged games like truth or dare, and even dared students to kiss one another.

The student also noted Moller instructed them not to tell their parents about these activities, warning them that there would be serious consequences.

According to the report, the former student stated there were also instances of inappropriate kissing and other sexual acts occurring in a classroom closet. The alleged abuse reportedly ceased after the school year, with Moller telling the student not to disclose their experiences and to only reach out when they turned 18, suggesting it would “destroy him.”

Moller worked for the Northside Independent School District (NISD) and taught at Lewis Elementary School until June 2019. She then transferred to Henderson Elementary School, where she has continued to teach.

As of now, Moller has been placed on administrative leave by the NISD, and district officials have stated they are cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

The San Antonio Police Department and the Northside Independent School District have yet to respond to inquiries for comments.

Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact the San Antonio Police Department.
