Titans football operations president Chad Brinker resigning

Chad Brinker, who has been the president of football operations for the Titans, announced on Tuesday evening that he is stepping down from his role.

According to Brinker, this decision was influenced by personal reasons and a desire to explore new opportunities. It’s noteworthy that this announcement came just days after the NFL Draft took place in Pittsburgh.

“It has been an honor to serve as Director of Football Operations for the Tennessee Titans,” he stated. Brinker mentioned that he embraced his role in leading football strategy, but now feels it’s time to return to his passions as he looks ahead to the next chapter. He expressed gratitude towards owner Amy Adams Strunk for understanding his choice to pursue different avenues.

Brinker previously spent 13 years with the Packers before becoming the Titans’ assistant general manager in 2023. The following year, he was elevated to the president of football operations, where he took charge of the football staff and played a key role in hiring Mike Borgonzi as general manager.

Reflecting on his time, Brinker said, “I am proud of the work we have done over the past three years under tough circumstances to begin the process of getting the Titans’ football organization back on track.” He specifically noted the challenges faced during the general manager search last year.

Adams Strunk, the team’s owner, acknowledged Brinker’s decision in a statement and wished him and his family well, indicating a supportive stance as Brinker moves forward.
