Vandalism at Kent State University’s TPUSA Booth
A student at Kent State University has allegedly vandalized a booth for Turning Point USA (TPUSA) and disrupted a video show. The individual, who remains unidentified, was caught on camera mocking TPUSA members and referencing the assassination of co-founder Charlie Kirk.
On a recent afternoon, the student expressed their anger by yelling derogatory remarks at TPUSA members in the student center plaza. Footage shows them approaching the booth and using scissors to pop several red, white, and blue balloons that decorated the area.
A member of the sorority present can be seen in the video attempting to shield the balloons as the assailant aggressively continues their actions. Another bystander reacted with disbelief as the individual reportededly popped around twelve balloons.
The statement made about “neck eruption” was an apparent reference to Kirk’s tragic death at a TPUSA event in September 2025, when he was shot in the neck by a gunman from a distance. Kirk, who was only 31 and a father of two, played a pivotal role in establishing TPUSA as a leading conservative organization among young Americans. Following his death, his wife took over as CEO.
In the aftermath of the incident, a university spokesperson confirmed they are aware of the vandalism and are in touch with the leadership of the TPUSA chapter. They also indicated that law enforcement is currently investigating the situation.
Online reactions have expressed a mix of disappointment and outrage, with comments describing the assailant in harsh terms and criticizing the attitude displayed during the incident. The TPUSA organization, known for educating young people about limited government and individual freedoms, did not respond immediately to inquiries regarding the event.
