RON HART: The Left Seeks More Hate Than It Can Provide

The recent assassination attempt on Trump marks the third within two years, and the Southern Poverty Law Center’s (SPLC) grand jury indictment concerning their alleged payments to Klan affiliates during the Charlottesville incident reveals a lot about the current state of the Democratic Party.

It’s interesting to note that while Reagan and Trump faced gunfire, Obama, Biden, and Clinton have not experienced such threats. It almost feels like there’s a pattern here—bullets seem to be flying in one particular direction. In terms of real threats, you might argue that Hillary’s occasional lamp-throwing episodes at Bill don’t quite count.

Then, we have Charlie Kirk. At least the Democrats seem to be resorting to more “traditional value” approaches these days. Trump’s most recent would-be assassin identifies as he/him, which, I suppose, adds another layer to the discussion.

Regrettably, instead of proposing meaningful alternatives, Democrats typically respond with disdain toward Trump and his supporters. I often refer to this phenomenon as Lib-TDS—Trump Derangement Syndrome. It’s concerning; a report suggested that “twenty-six percent of liberals under 45” believe political violence can sometimes be justified. It speaks volumes.

The rhetoric coming from Democrats and the media has stoked an environment filled with hatred. Labeling Trump as a racist, fascist, or even pedophile has incited a frenzy among some in their base, leading them to irrational actions. The toll must be exhausting to bear.

Thank goodness Trump remains unharmed. There’s a sense of demoralization among Democrats, and perhaps the DNC is reconsidering its stance on the Second Amendment, even suggesting its members look into joining the NRA. Interestingly, the only Democrat who seems to hit anything accurately lately is Alec Baldwin.

In this latest incident involving Trump, a liberal from California managed to check into a Hilton with a shotgun, a pistol, and several knives, deceiving security by claiming to be a juggler. This has now prompted the Hilton to revise its security protocols—no running in the lobby with that many weapons allowed anymore.

The implications for Trump’s potential events in the White House ballroom have become stark. The D.C. Hilton, where Reagan was shot, isn’t exactly the most secure venue, and it seems to be on par with getting into similar locations in Paris.

It’s telling that the liberal press took note of the consequences of their words as chaos unfolded. Most fled, yet one figure from CNN, Brian Stelter, stayed behind to ensure he got his doggie bag before leaving.

Amidst the chaos, there was confusion with someone shouting “shots,” prompting a careless response about tequila from commentators Pete Hegseth and Kash Patel.

To reach Trump on stage, the shooter would have needed to make it through undercover Secret Service personnel and a crowd of 2,500 guests. Trump, undeterred, remarked on the effectiveness of his blockade idea. In fact, he seemed almost defiant—used to the attention and danger—encouraging the audience to keep enjoying their dinner as he was spirited away by security.

Despite the torrent of leftist animosity directed at Trump, Democrats have somehow twisted the narrative to paint the right as hateful and bigoted. It strikes me as odd that, faced with a lack of real hatred, the SPLC felt compelled to fabricate incidents. The realities surrounding Charlottesville have become clearer over time.

The SPLC allegedly paid the Klan and similar fringe groups to orchestrate staged events under the pretense of monitoring for racist behavior. It’s almost as if they were putting up “Help Wanted” signs for auditions in race-baiting—a lucrative business model for figures like Al Sharpton and others. Nowadays, even simple household chores can get you branded a segregationist.

Many who read works like *To Kill a Mockingbird* assume they represent the reality of the American South, but they couldn’t be more mistaken. They are being misled, and it appears the SPLC has a role in that deception.

For years, the media has relied on SPLC statistics for their narratives about hate crimes, even influencing discussions on race with President Biden. Those numbers, evidently “massaged,” have led to claims of white supremacy being viewed as our greatest national threat.

Race seems to be a strong influence in the Democrats’ perspectives. Take Representative Ilhan Omar, for instance—she’s linked to various fraud schemes and recently adjusted her net worth filings down by $30 million, claiming any scrutiny is racially motivated. If she were ever arrested, she might even manage to make both her husband and brother her one call from jail.

It’s time to temper the discourse around these issues. Supporting Trump might just be safer than opposing him directly.
