A substitute teacher in Florida was let go after reportedly grabbing a student during an outburst in class. Angela Faith Jourdan described herself as a “million dollar whore,” which raises quite a few eyebrows. She was arrested on Monday at Lake Mineola High School.
The school district confirmed her termination the same day, stating they were aware of the situation and had informed parents. Jourdan began working on February 4, 2025, but her tenure was abruptly cut short.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Jourdan allegedly made inappropriate comments to students, including offers of sexual acts and boasting about her self-described title.
Deputies noted she was causing a disturbance, shouting and banging on desks before the police arrived.
One student reported that as class ended, Jourdan yelled derogatory names and physically approached her. It’s mentioned in the report that the student felt threatened during this encounter.
A school resource officer was called to the classroom around 10:20 a.m. and found Jourdan behaving erratically, “screaming incoherently.”
When the principal asked her to leave, she refused, expressing a fear of being tasered.
The situation escalated, and ultimately, she was detained and taken to the front office.
Body camera footage revealed Jourdan arguing with the authorities who tried to escort her out, claiming she was not a threat despite the circumstances. She referenced having had past encounters with law enforcement and seemed to challenge their authority.
The case report indicated that Jourdan has a history of bipolar disorder, suggesting her behavior may have stemmed from a “mental health episode.”
She has been charged with several misdemeanors, including disorderly conduct and simple assault.
Lake County School Board Chairman Bill Mathias expressed his concern and praised the students for their sensitivity during the incident, noting how emotional the situation was for him.
